Family

I love my family SOO much! Today my mom sent me an email about the Imaginiff game that they played on the way home yesterday. According to my mom life is really just a series of song lyrics. I have to agree with her, and my friends must agree with me, because I sing all the time. I'll be with friends and someone will say something or something will happen and I will think of a line from a song and just burst into song. IT's great! These are the song lyrics that they came up with for our family (AKA my grandma, all my mom's siblings, my dad, my sister, my brother and I.) I think mine is perfect! ·        Grandma: “Won’t you tell me something true? I believe in you” from  One ·        T: “I believe in the kingdom come, when all the colors bleed into one” from  Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For ·        Bo: “And you give, and you give, and you give yourself away” from  With Or W...

Experiment

So, on Sunday my cousin Holli, her roommate Katelyn, Matt and I went up to South Jordan to Holli's parents house for Easter dinner. After dinner we were all talking, and somehow the topic got around to my food problem. I mentioned that I could tell the difference between water and water with food coloring in it, and they decided to test the accuracy of my taste buds. They didn't actually use food coloring though. Instead, the used Teri's (Holli's mom) water ionizer, and had me try to tell the difference between ionized water, and acidic water. They put ionized water in a yellow cup and acidic water in a red cup, and I tasted each. Then I closed my eyes, and Holli gave me water in a random order and I guessed which color of cup it was. Although color of cup was really just code for acidic or ionized. She actually put the water in different cups, and refrigerated the water or warmed it up in her hands. The scary thing ... I got it right every time (10) until the last time...

Sleep

So I'm pretty sure it's ok for me to copy this since they included a code on the page that was labeled "Embed the above image on your site." I tell people (specifically my roommate S*) all the time that they need to get more sleep. This is just a little bit of validation that I'm not crazy. Leap Day

So, I wanted to get one more post in during February, and I have one in the works, but I don't think I'm going to finish it today, so I'm writing a short note on Leap Day. I always know when it is a leap year because I was born on leap year so every time I have a birthday that is divisible by 4 it's a leap year. I also like leap day because it extends February one more day. However, I sincerely believe that it should be a school holiday, because after all it's only once every four years, and they don't really need another day in the school year... Truly a random post, but it allowed me to procrastinate my homework for another 5 minutes, so it was worth it.

Valentines Day

February 14th, is at once the most anticipated and the most feared, the most loved and the most hated day of the year. Couples do cute things for one another, and single people post things on facebook such as the following: Micah : "Happy Low Self-esteem Day Kadee!"  Me: "......Gee Thanks." This is why I call it "Single's Awareness Day / Spousal Obligation Day" (SAD-SOD). I'm honestly not a fan. Maybe I'll like it more when I'm not single, but I still maintain my right to be skeptical of that possibility until I find positive proof that it's a great thing. Happy Singles Awareness Day! With your help, we can put an end to this ruthless disease. These are just the few examples I found in my cursory glance over my news feed. I really wish people would look at the good side of February 14th.  I was not single on Valentines Day last year, but I am very single this year, and the guy I was dating last year is now dating someone new. I ...

Random Thought

So I've been wanting to tell someone about this all morning, but I haven't seen anyone who it wouldn't be weird to just bring it up, so it's ending up on my blog. I really love to go swing dancing. You know how dance position is in ballroom and how you hold your hands up at eye level. Well, with swing dancing your hands go at hip level, so the guy is holding the girls hand like he just helped her out of a carriage, or like her hand is a game-boy controller with his fingers under her hand and his thumb on top of her hand. That's important remember it for later. I wear a CTR ring on the ring finger of my right hand. Almost every guy I dance with plays with my ring. They always tend to rub their thumb over my ring, and wiggle it (the ring) around. It's really quite distracting, and I wonder why they do it. Sometimes it makes me think that girls aren't the only one's who do a 'ring check'. although it's the wrong hand they're still interest...

Pictures

I've started carrying my camera around with me all the time. I take pictures of things that make me laugh, things that inspire me, and things I think are pretty. I'd like to share a few pictures I've taken in the last week or so. My audit professor has a strange sense of humor. He puts up this kind of list pretty often while we do quizzes. Army Man! On a fire alarm in the Tanner building. Ok, so the picture he's comparing himself to doesn't really work, but don't you think he looks a little bit like Brad Pitt? I certainly did the first time I met him.
