Not much this week, but I promise to be better next week Here's one story to hold you over. The best thing that happened this week is that one of our less active families came to church this Sunday, and liked it so much they promised to come again next Sunday! They had been going to church in LA, but when they moved they stopped coming to church because they didn't know where it was, and sometimes they had to work, and they were tired... All the usual excuses. We found them a couple of weeks ago though, and have visited them a few times and talked with them. Then yesterday morning we knocked on their door and asked them to come to church with us, AND THEY DID!!!!!!!! Unfortunately they couldn't stay for sacrament meeting (sacrament last is the WORST!) this week, but they promised to stay for all three hours next week. Luckily they missed my impromptu talk. :) The branch mission leader called that morning and asked me to bear my t...

Buenos Dias,   This week has been pretty good overall. Also, I figured out how to attach pictures so I'll definitely include some of those.   Monday was fun because we had a zone activity down in San Fernando and talked and played a little bit at a park. We were also able to stop by the office and get supplies. We were sad because there was no mail, but we found out later that there was no mail because our district leader had stopped by to pick it up earlier that morning. He just didn't give it to us until two days later! :)   Tuesday we didn't have district meeting. We did have an amazing lesson with one of our investigators named E. She's an older lady who takes care of her grandchildren during the day, and she is so sweet. We talked about the Restoration, and focused a lot on the nature of God. It's funny since I'm serving in an area where almost everyone has a basic Christian/Catholic background so you wouldn't think that was...

Buenos Dias! This has definitely been an interesting week. First off I got transferred to Santa Clarita! Mama will have my new address if you want it. My area is called Canyon country, and it is fitting because it seems like every street is Something Canyon. It's especially funny because I just asked Mama to send me a map of the San Fernando valley and got it at the end of last week, and now I'm not even serving in the valley! Second off we started the week with me unable to speak above a whisper for more than 1 or 2 sentences. Quite the adventure when you're a Spanish speaking missionary with a companion who's fresh from the MTC... Tuesday was transfer day, and transfer meeting was amazing as usual. It was nice to be able to say hi to a lot of the missionaries I love, but it was also really sad to say goodbye to Hna Barnes. I'm going to miss her a lot. However, my new companion Hna Ellingson is AMAZING! Her Spanish is amazing already, and sh...
