Maybe I should have done a bulleted list . . .

So I haven't posted for a while (things have been busy) so now I will attempt to catch everybody (including me) up. The last thing I wrote about was my MCom project. I am happy to announce that it was a success. We got everything done and only had one minor mishap during our presentation. After it was over I went to my ISys class feeling free as a bird. I then realized that one load of stress had been taken away and another had promptly fallen into place. It was Tuesday and I now had to finish a project (due that Thursday) and prepare for a practical exam (also on thursday). I did manage to get everything done however, and turned in, and I feel good about my exam. This class scares me so much, but I seem to be doing really well. I hope that holds true for the final. After that I relaxed a little and on Friday, Jared and I went with my ward to see the last dress rehersal of Savior of the World. It is a musical put on by the Church in the Little Theater (in the Conference Center) about the birth and ressurection of Jesus Christ. It was such a wonderful play and had several good messages apart from telling the story of Jesus' birth. Saturday we did laundry, made breakfast with Blain and Lisa, and did homework for a while. Then we went to the graduate recital of a flautist. She played one modern piece with a cellist and a pianist that was very interesting. All three instrumentalists did things with their instruments that you wouldn't normaly expect. After that Jared and I found practice rooms, and he practiced voice and I practiced the piano. I'm getting a group together to perform a nativity for a rehabilitation center here in Provo. I think it's going to be really fun. Then Jared and I went to babysat for his sister and her husband. The babysitting part didn't work to well because their dad stayed home to try to get some work done, but the kids only cried if he wasn't paying attention to them so he ended up taking care of them and Jared and I cleaned the kitchen instead. Then we went back to Jareds appartment, did more homework, and watched Mulan with one of his roommates and some of his friends. Now it is Sunday and I am all caught up.

Birthday!

So, my birthday was yesterday, and it was quite possibly the best birthday ever , and definitely the BEST day of this semester!  It actually started the night before (the night of the 17th) when Janette came to dinner. We made pizza, Isaac brought cinnamon rolls, and we had several people over. I was already happy being able to party with Janette one last time before she went into the MTC . Then after dinner, my roommates surprised me with birthday cake and ice cream. Everyone sang happy birthday, and I was glad I got to celebrate with Janette. Then on the morning of the 18th (my BIRTHDAY ) I woke up and left my room, and this is what I found: streamers hanging from the connecting door, balloons all over the living room, streamers on the ceiling, a monkey hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen, and 20 sticky notes that said 20 different things my roommates love about me. : ) I have the BEST   roommates ever! Sandra also had a few dollar store presents for me, and the best o...

Going Public

So I was thinking today about how I love to keep up with my friends and family through their blogs. I'm pretty busy with school, so I really don't have time to call everyone who is important to me and talk about their lives. Instead I read their blogs. I write my blog for much the same reason, so that people who care about me can read about my life on their own time. Ever since I started my blog I've had it privatized so that only people who I invite can read my blog. However, as I have made more friends, I've had multiple people be surprised that I have a blog at all, and some have asked to read it. I've always been hesitant to let people read my blog because I don't want to inadvertently offend someone or accidentally share something I'd rather keep private with the whole world. I realized today that that is really silly considering the purpose of my blog, and so I've decided to publicize my blog. I realize that I write about other people on my blog, a...

Hi There

So Caitlin's blog has gotten me thinking. I'm not as creative of a writer, and I'm definitely not a paint artist, but I am away at college and not in as direct contact with my family and friends. I would like to be able to share my life and ideas with those that I love. I can't promise to post every day, or even every week, but I will try. I hope you all enjoy.
