Buenas Tardes   So I've been getting sick all week, and it really sunk in on Friday and then I started loosing my voice. As of right now I can't speak above a whisper for more than a few sentences... Let's just say that missionary work in a whisper is interesting. ;)   The best part about this week was Saturday morning. President Hall called and released me from being an Hermana Training Leader and called me to be a trainer. We only have ONE new Hermana coming in this transfer, and he's going to let ME be her trainer!! I am SO excited, and I feel SO blessed! I love being a trainer. People always tell me that I am training because I'm an Hna Training Leader, but I have missed the one on one, day to day interaction.   I already wrote about Monday and Tuesday , but Wednesday we had exchanges with Hna Hall and Hna LeBanc. I got to stay in our area with Hna Hall and we had so much fun.   Thursday we finally got our car back from ...

Feliz Dia,   Valentines Day was this week, and it was by far the best holiday that I've had as a missionary. Nothing is better than love to start of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Then Monday was also a holiday (presidents day?) which is why we're emailing on Tuesday instead of Monday .   Last Monday was really fun. We were at the tennis courts as a district/zone, and a bunch of us decided to play flag football instead. Hna Barnes and I had some extra fabric that we found in our apartment in the car so we cut it up to make flag and then everyone just tucks it into their waistband. It was a little sad later that day though because we had to give up one of our investigators named T. She is super sweet, and actually sees us as friends, but she's really more comfortable speaking and reading English so we said that we would send the English elders to talk with her.   Tuesday was district meeting, which was AMAZING!!!! (as usual) Then we got to ...

Buenas Tardes,   I've decided that I'm going to stay a missionary forever! I never want to go back to normal life.   Monday we did studies and then took miles reports for all the cars in our zone up to the office. The zone leaders normally do it, but they had such a busy day that we offered to do it for them. (Really we were just being selfish because we wanted them to be able to join in our district/zone activity later that day.) The activity was SO much fun. We played flag football with socks as flags. Then that night we started an exchange with Hna Clifton and Hna Rodriguez. I got to stay in their area with Hna Rodriguez and we saw an amazing miracle. We were contacting some of their potentials, and when we'd finished the ones on our street we decided to just knock a couple of doors. Hna Rodriguez picked one door (she said b/c there was a light on) and a man answered. He came out on the porch and let us teach him right there. He told us...

Hola, Hola, Coca Cola!   That's Hna Barnes' favorite greating. :) Not much happened this week to write about. On Monday we played soccer with our district, and it was SO much fun! I was sore for three days after though. I am so out of shape from not being on bike for so long.   Tuesday morning we were able to go to the temple. It was so amazing to be able to go and do a session and spend some time in the temple and just feel a little bit closer to God. I am so grateful that He has provided us this way to feel close to Him. Wednesday and Thursday were normal work days with nothing special happening, and we finished Weekly Planning in 1 day! Somehow our Thursdays always seem to fill up with citas so that weekly planning always bleeds over into other days.   Friday we had ZONE CONFERENCE!!! It was absolutely amazing, and I learned so much. We talked a lot about teaching simply and how important that is. The Spirit speaks so much better when we ...

I couldn't think of anything to say to start this email so I'm leaving it blank. :) It's a bit strange to be writing again (otra vez) after such a short amount of time...   This week in general has been kind of crazy. One of our Hermanas has had some pretty big health issues recently and they haven't really been able to work their area because of that. To help them out we've been doing a lot of work with them so that their area doesn't just fall apart.   Monday was a weird day because we worked like a normal day instead of taking preparation day. We took the bikes out for the first part of the afternoon, and I was reminded once again how much I LOVE doing missionary work on bikes. It's true that it takes longer to get places, but you get to talk to so many more people, and it just feels so good!   Tuesday we had district meting, which was wonderful as usual; our district this transfer is AMAZING, and Elder Robison is a great Distr...

Happy Birthday Marin! Hola! So this has been a bit of a strange week. We were going to go to the temple this week for my birthday month, but then it turned out that our member couldn't take us today because she had to work. Instead we're going next week. Because of our planned preparation day we skipped our preparation day on Monday and that's why we're emailing today. However, I forgot my journal, and last week was so long ago that I really can't remember much of what happened, so I'll try to email about both weeks next week. The best part of life right now is that we have an investigator named H who is INCREDIBLE!!! We met him because Hna Barnes was backing me up to park, and he waved at us across the street. Hna Barnes offered him a card, and before we could cross the street to talk to him HE CAME TO US!!! We taught him right on the spot, and even though he'd already had a cerveza or two he told us that he really wanted to ...

Buenas!   Hna Barnes and I are both staying in NoHo for another transfer! I'm so excited that we get to stay together for another six weeks. Today is our 11 month mark as missionaries (we came out together), and we'll also get to hit our 12 month together. Happy day!   Last Monday was an exciting day. When we got to the checkout at the grocery store we found out that all of the stores in our area (maybe even in all of LA since I think it's a city ordinance but I'm not sure...) have stopped providing bags for their customers... You can buy paper bags for .10 per bag, but who wants to do that! I had forgotten my reusable bags, but we were not about to buy paper bags, so after we checked out we just packed all the food back into the shopping cart individually, then packed it into the trunk, and then took it home. You'd think we'd be reasonable once we got it home and go get bags or something, but we were both determined to not have to take mor...
